Leane Capps Medford Selected for National Appellate Practice Institute Faculty

ELROD partner Leane Capps Medford has been selected to serve on a distinguished panel at the 14th Appellate Practice Institute, taking place at Northwestern law School in Chicago May 29-31, 2009.  The Appellate Practice Institute is widely considered the nation's premier appellate practice program, and is presented by the ABA's Judicial Division, the Appellate Judge's Conference and the Council of Appellate Lawyers.  Ms. Medford will work with a selection of appellate lawyers, state and federal judges to critique briefs and oral arguments submitted by participants.  Ms. Medford will also serve as a moderator on roundtable discussions with the faculty.

When a general contractor sued the owner of a gas pipeline with claims for millions in additional compensation for alleged overages, Elrod took the case, and obtained a settlement which reduced the damages sought by the contractor by more than 80 percent.more >
