Pipeline Construction

Efficiently saving client millions in a commercial construction dispute

In 2009, when a general contractor sought to recover in Oregon state court against the owner of a gas pipeline millions in additional compensation for alleged overages and extra work performed without the owner’s authorization, Elrod was successful in obtaining a settlement which reduced the damages sought by the contractor by more than 80 percent.

Unlike many law firms that prefer to drag out discovery for years, Elrod quickly processed and analyzed hundreds of thousands of pages of documents and evidence exchanged by the parties in only a few short months with the aid of cutting edge technology and old-fashioned perseverance.

Elrod met with and gathered information from numerous party and nonparty witnesses located in 7 states and in less than one month, deposed 8 witnesses and defended 3 depositions around the country in order to build a strong case and defense on behalf of the firm’s client.  The result: significant savings to the client in time, money, and aggravation.
